Beginners Golf
I was really happy when my husband took up the game of golf as he was out from under my feet. A bored husband roaming around the house is not a pretty sight. They will bug you to no end or try to fix things around the house that aren’t broken. After he began playing golf things were more peaceful at home. I also become interested in the game of golf so he offered to take me to the driving range for lessons. I was definitely not prepared for how frustrating the game is.
It can take a really long time just to figure out the right way to stand up and hold the club properly. Never mind actually getting the golf ball into the hole! After I perfected my stance I decided to take a swing. My husband says I have a good slice, so I’ll take his word for it. The children around me were also beginners at golf but they were better than me.
Once you get the hang of the process of golf you can practice your swing. Next worry about directing the ball. My husband said I was ready for the putt-putt course. This was another part of the game that frustrated me. The concept of hitting this white ball is very simple yet it is hard to get it to go where you want it to go. It is easy to judge the distance wrong.
One big lesson I learned playing golf is that I am not a patient person. I was very frustrated. Why do people play golf to relax? I would like to try it again because it might be more fun over time as I improve. I will be thinking of ways to plot my revenge against the stupid windmill at the putt-putt that refused to let my ball go in.
